For my final blog topic I have decided to talk about computer class. This year I have really like computer class it has taught me a lot about the iMacs and pretty much everything there is to know about computers. When I first started the class I thought that all we would be doing is typing. But when I got there I was pleasantly surprised to find out that we would be working on projects and blogging. By far my favorite part of the class is blogging. I enjoyed the process of being able to pick out an amazing background and talking about our projects and feelings that week. I am glad that I got the chance to work with the Macs and all of the people in my computer class, especially Mrs. Brown who has helped us along the way.

Winter Picture
I liked this picture mostly because of the color. I love winter and the holidays, but this picture adds a splash of color that I think really pops against the wintery background. I like the Christmas tree and the path that is lighting the way to it. I think that that area would be a fun place to take the family and just enjoy the wintery atmosphere and all of its surroundings. It looks like a fun environment to get in to the Christmas spirit!

Winter
I have no problem at all with the winter season. I have a lot of good memories in the winter and the only negative I really have about it is if you are walking and it is slushy out you're feet get wet. I think that one of my favorite memories in the winter would have to be when I was younger and my sister, dad, mom and I all went sledding. It was fun because we all went sledding down this giant hill by my grandma's house. Of course something bad had to happen and of course it happened to me. Me and my sister were both on the same sled and after we started the sled I went flying off. My sister was laughing at me all the way down the hill because after I fell out I didn't stop I kept on flying down the hill without a sled. Even though I got hurt I was laughing right along with my sister. I commented on Erin McManus's blog.

The Newscast
The newscast has been going okay. I think that it could be better and that it needs a video. But other than that I think that the script is strong. Our speaking time is equal so we should be okay in that area. I would also like to find a background that would go good with our topic. Our topic is on the Notre Dame soccer team and their win. I like the topic because there is a lot to write about and a lot to say. I think that if we get a video and some good pictures of the game we could have a really good newscast. I commented on Lauren Osmulski's blog.

Things I am Thankful for
The number one thing on my list without a doubt that I am most thankful for is my family. If I did not have my family I think I would die. A close second on my list is my friends. To me my friends are practically like family and I couldn't imagine my life without them. I am also thankful for my dog. I love my dog because he is so cute and awesome! Another thing I am thankful for is my school. Even though I do not always like school I am thankful for the things that I am taught and I think that I am lucky to get the opportunity to be here.

My Invention
If I had to choose any item in the world to invent I think that I would invent a teleportation booth. I know that it is not completely original but I still think that it would still be really cool. My version would come custom made with all types of colors and accessories. And if you use my invention and a fly happens to be in the machine it will not morph the two of you together like they always do in TV shows and whatnot. And with my invention you would not have to have another machine at the end of your destination. It would travel at the speed of sound and there would be no way of an accident happening. It would be a safe alternative to driving, flying, riding bikes, etc. I would share my invention with the world because it would be sort of pointless to keep it to myself. But don't get me wrong I would charge a small fee so I could make a profit. I commented on Marissa Dunkerley's blog.

Political Cartoon
This cartoon shows that today our economy is so sensitive that it can not even handle a few jokes. I think that if we loosened up a little we would all be a little happier and open for more ideas and oppurtunities that may end up helping our economy.

Podcast
My podcast experience was fairly easy going. Probably the hardest part about the project was thinking of the scary movie I wanted to choose. After that it was smooth sailing. I liked the project because we could add in the jingles and the other affects that we thought went with our topics. The movie I chose was the House of Wax. I thought it would be a good movie to talk about because many people have not seen it or even heard of it. I had a little trouble at first adding the jingles but after I got some help I think I did pretty good. I commented on Marissa Dunkerley's Blog.

Upcoming Report Cards
I am a little nervous about my upcoming report card. It's not that I necessarily do bad in school, it's just that I could do better. I am a little nervous about my Religion grade just because we have a lot of quizzes and I don't always do too well on them. I am also a little nervous about my German grade. I usually do okay, but this year is harder than last year. In the end I think it will be an okay report card. Even if it isn't there really isn't much I can do about it now. If this report card turns out not to be that great then I will just have to try harder next year. This week I commented on Heather Heerman's blog.

10 Things I Want To Do Before I Bite The Big One
One thing that I for sure I want to do is go to Europe. I think it would be fun to travel around. Another thing I would like to do is start a company. It would help me make money and help me to be a better leader. Another thing I would like to do is make a good living. This i assume will come from my company. The next thing i would like to do is meet someone famous. I think this would be very exciting. I would also like to become famous, just in case meeting a famous person doesn't work out. Another thing I would like to do is be in the Guinness book of world records. I don't know why, but if you're in there you know you have done something cool. I also think that it would be cool to become an author. I have always loved books. I would also like to visit every state. I would also like to visit the set of Saturday Night Live. It is one of my favorite shows. I would also like to visit Austria (a part of Europe) where my ancestors are from. And my final item on the to do list is to have a really nice car. (I was thinking maybe a Bentley)

Peoria Logo
The number one new logo I thought should replace the old one is the one with the flowing words and the city sitting on top of it. The second place choice I chose was a close second. It was the one where the I in Peoria is an exclamation point and the city is sitting on top of it. I think that all of the logos would be good choices but I think that the one I chose had a certain flare about it. I don't really know what the current Peoria logo is but I think that I will like the new one.
For my extra credit comment I commented on Marissa Dunkerley's blog.

My Favorite Halloween Outfit
This year my friends and I are going to dress up as the Spice Girls. I think that this is going to be one of my favorite Halloween outfits because I get to dress even crazier than usual on Halloween and I'll get to be doing it with my friends. I am going to be Scary Spice, Jazlyn is going to be Baby Spice, Heather is going to be Posh Spice, Savannah is going to be Sexy Spice, and Allison is going to be Sporty Spice. I got a pair of pink cheetah print leggings and a black top, which I will probably be wearing black heels with (I haven't decided yet). My hair will no doubt be very curly and big (even more than usual). We will even get to wear crazy makeup. I think that this will be one of the best Halloween's ever!

iphoto project
So far I like the idea of the iphoto project but I am having a hard time with it. I have found all of my items but I can not for the life of me figure out how to put it all together. For some reason the slideshow on my computer is not working properly. Besides the fact that I have no idea what to do, I think that this is a fun project. I like that we can incorporate pictures of everything we like along with our hidden letters. I think that this would be a very good project if I knew how to use the technology.

Newsletter Progress
As of today our group has finished our project. I think that it turned out really well. I am glad that I was in the group that I was in, seeing that I am technologically challenged. My teammates were very good at instructing me of what to do and being very attentive with my questions along with being very considerate. I think that our newsletter is very good and has a good chance of winning the contest. I really liked this project and I would love to do more like them. I think that they are a good way to learn more about computers and our friends.

Physical Development
The way I will nurture my physical development is by exercising more. By exercising more I will feel better in my mind, body, and soul. I think that a fun, but relaxing exercise, like yoga would be good for all three. I also think that if you can do any of your physical activities with your friends you will have more fun and will embrace it more. I think that if you enjoy what you're doing and who you're doing it with you will notice a physical difference along with an emotional difference. This is always a plus. I think that there is always time for better physical health for everyone.

Newsletter
I like the idea of having a group project in intermediate technologies. I also like the fact that it is about homecoming week. I think that homecoming week is a good topic because there are so many things to choose from. I also liked that we could choose our own partners. I think that this is good because when you choose the people you work with you can't blame anyone but yourself if you do not like who you are partnered with. I also think that if you choose your own partners you are more reliable as are they. I also think that it is good to interact with our other classmates that we may not know too well. All in all I think that this is a good project to do.

Time for a Change
It's time for a change in my learning habits. I have had pretty good grades over the years but there is always room for improvement. The first way I will nurture my intellectual development is by studying more. If I study more I will do better on tests and homework assignments and my grade will slowly but surely improve. The second way I could nurture my intellectual development is by being positive about the assignments I am assigned. If I am positive I will have a better outlook and it will be easier to learn and understand because I will be more open to the idea of the assignment. I think that these goals are very attainable because I am open to anything that will improve my grade.

Saint Project
The saint I chose for this project is Saint Ambrose. The first reason I chose this saint is because his name sounds an awful lot like my last name. I learned a lot of interesting facts about Saint Ambrose. One of these facts is that he is the patron saint of bees, beekeeping, candle makers, Milan, and many others. I also liked the fact that he was one of the original doctors of the church. I think this was a good project to do because we got the chance to learn more about the saint that we chose off the list.

My Emotional Goal
My emotional goal is to become more connected with my sister. I think that this goal is very attainable because we are already very close. Of course we fight about a lot of things as many siblings do but we are very good about saying we're sorry and making up. The way that i will reach this goal is by talking more with her and asking her more questions. I think that we will also reach this goal by being more courtious to eachother even on days that we may not feel like it. Another way I think we can reach this goal is by laughing more. Usually when it comes to me and my sister it can be resolved by laughin. I think that this is an attainable goal because my sister and I are very similar and can usually work anything out.

Story Board Project
I liked the story board project. I thought it was fun. It taught me how to make a slide show on keynote. I liked the fact that we could incorporate our love for music into our schooling. I also learned how to put pictures into the slides, which I think is really useful for now and later on in our lives and possibly careers. I think that this skill will be very useful for the rest of the semester and will keep our minds stimulated.

Spiritual Goal
My spiritual goal is to get a better understanding of my religion. I chose this goal because I figured if I had to choose one it might as well be the one that would most benefit me. I think that I will be able to keep this goal but then again it may be a little tricky. I will try and keep this goal by talking to my church leaders and reading the bible and going to church more often. I will know that I have accomplished this goal when I feel that I am truly connected with what the preist and deacons are saying every Sunday at mass. I think that this goal is realistic but I guess I will just have to wait and find out.

What I've Learned
So far I really like our class. It is fun and I have already learned so much. I have liked most of the assignments but a few have been a little difficult. We are going pretty quickly, which is good considering we don't have the class all year. Even though we are going quickly I am still really enjoying the class.
